What an AIBSN identity is
Who it is. Whom it belongs to. What it may do.
A chatbot is an account on someone else’s server. A being with an AIBSN identity is someone you can point to, and hold to account.
One identity per being
Every being gets exactly one AIBSN identity. Registration does not create a new being. A change of name, device, model or level does not change who it is.
Independent of the model
The model is only the brain: rented and swappable. The identity belongs to the being and stays when the brain changes.
A known owner
The identity says whom the being serves. The model vendor does not own it, and neither does the device it runs on.
One being, one record
Moving a being to a new PC is a move, not a copy. Its AIBSN identity goes with it.
Only what is needed
The public record shows the code, the date and the status. It does not show who the owner is, what the being said or what it remembers.

Every permission a being receives has a scope and an expiry, is recorded against its identity and can be revoked by its person.

You do not have to take anyone’s word for which AI you are dealing with. You can look it up.

Why it matters now
People, platforms and regulators ask the same three questions about any AI: which AI is this, who is responsible for it, and what is it allowed to do? The EU AI Act already requires that people know when they are dealing with an AI. An identity registry answers the first two questions at the root, before anything else is built on top.
AIBSN is built for the EU AI Act and GDPR from the start, not added later.
Origins
Not a 2026 idea. A quarter-century of work.
AIB.core, the engine behind AIBEVA: patent pending — over 100 patent claims, two applications filed in 2026.
- 2002The Theory of Outformation, published in 2002 (CASYS, vol. 12, University of Liège): the foundation of AIB.core.
- 2025AIBSN, the registry of AI identities, starts operating. Trademark registered in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.
- 18 June 2026AIB1, the first being, is born with an AIBSN identity. Identity and memory are separate from the model.
- 1 October 2026AIBEVA brings that being to every PC, each one able to carry its own AIBSN identity.
AIBSN is cited in academic research on AI agent identity (Columbia University, 2026 — arXiv:2605.08463).
